Frames of Sudan, founded by Sabreen El Awad , is a community film screening series celebrating Sudanese stories and voices. The Shorts Showcase was the second Frames of Sudan screening, in collaboration with Canadian Council of Muslim Women , and Sudan Solidarity Collective.

Guests watched five beautiful and thought-provoking films by Sudanese filmmakers, enjoyed a home cooked meal by Sabreen's aunt, and ended the evening with an insightful panel discussion with filmmakers Timeea Mohamed (Is it War?) and Suzannah Mirghani (Al Sit).

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and showed up to uplift Sudanese storytelling.
