Youth Pocket Film Program
A Phone Filmmaking Workshop for Muslim Youth
A 5-day filmmaking program for Muslim youth (ages 16-20) in Brampton. Using only your phone and guided by experienced facilitators, you’ll work in a team to create a short film inspired by this year’s Islamic History Month theme: "Pioneering Muslim Communities in Canada".
This program is generously funded by the City of Brampton.

How it works:

1. Plan
You'll learn how to write a short script and plan your film.

3. Edit
You'll learn to edit your clips into a film using free tools you already have access to on your phone or laptop.

2. Shoot
You'll shoot your film from start to finish using just your phone.

4. Screen
Your completed films will be screened at the City of Brampton's community celebration at the end of Islamic History Month.
