Youth Pocket Films Screened At Brampton City Hall

We were honoured to take part in the City of Brampton’s Islamic History Month celebration!

The evening featured a screening of Youth Pocket Films, a collection of short films created by high school students who participated in Muslim Media Hub’s filmmaking program.

Through this program, students explored the roots of Brampton’s Muslim community and uncovered stories of the first mosques, community leaders, and families who helped build the city we know today.

During the celebration, we were thrilled to recognize each student’s hard work and present them with certificates in front of their peers, families, and community members. Seeing their pride and joy on screen was a powerful reminder of why we do this work: to empower the next generation to tell their own stories, in their own voices.

Congratulations to all our young filmmakers! The future of Muslim storytelling is bright!
