Researcher & Outreach Coordinator

Type: Part-time (10 hrs/week)


Location: Muslim Media Hub, 27 Pearl Street (We value in-person collaboration and community, so this role is primarily on-site. However, some responsibilities can be completed remotely depending on the task.)

 

Rate of pay: $22-$28/hr depending on experience

 

About the Role

The Researcher & Outreach Coordinator helps shape the content of Muslim Media Hub productions, including Let the Quran Speak and new original content. You’ll research topics, identify and coordinate guests, and support hosts with thoughtful prep materials.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and develop topics for video episodes, interviews, and shows

  • Identify and contact potential guests and experts

  • Draft questions, briefing notes, and outlines for each episode

  • Coordinate guest scheduling and communication

  • Stay up to date on relevant issues and conversations within the Muslim community

  • Collaborate closely with producers and hosts to refine content ideas

 

Qualifications

  • Strong research and writing skills

  • Experience with outreach or booking guests in media, journalism, or academic settings

  • Knowledge of Islamic teachings, Muslim issues, and current affairs

  • Ability to present complex ideas in clear and engaging ways

  • Professional, courteous communicator
