Stop Motion Summer Camp
Create a 1-Minute Animated Film
A hands-on stop motion animation camp for Muslim children ages 9 to 12.
At Stop Motion Summer Camp, campers will create a 1-minute stop motion film from start to finish using professional filmmaking equipment, animation tools, and their own creative ideas. Over the course of the week, they will learn how to write a story, design characters and environments, build sets and puppets, animate scenes, and add sound to bring their film to life. The theme for this camp is Kindness, and each film will reflect that value in a creative and age-appropriate way.
This camp is ideal for children who love crafts, stories, animation, and hands-on creative activities.

Drop-off: 8:30-9:00 am
Camp Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Pick-up: 3:30-4:00 pm
Ages: 9-12
Fee: $450
Location: Muslim Media Hub, 27 Pearl Street, Mississauga
*Minimum enrolment is required for the camp to run. If sufficient registration is not reached, Muslim Media Hub reserves the right to cancel the camp and issue a full refund.
What Campers Will Do
Throughout the week, campers will move through the key stages of stop motion animation:
Story and Storyboarding
Campers will create a simple story, shape its message, and build a storyboard to guide their film.

Character and Set Design
Campers will design their characters and environments, then build the puppets and sets they will use in their animation.
Animation
Campers will learn the basics of stop motion and begin bringing their scenes to life frame by frame.
Editing and Sound
Campers will edit their film, record sound, and add voice work to complete their project.
Screening
On the final day, families will be invited to a screening celebration featuring the campers’ finished films.
