As a teacher and role model for Black Muslim youth, Zahra Hassan knows the importance of taking initiative. She’s not only dedicated to shaping young minds in the classroom but also to inspiring them to lead and create positive change within their communities.
In her advice to young Muslims eager to make a difference, Zahra emphasizes the power of being the first to take action. “Just do it,” she says. “A lot of the time, we wait for others to start and then volunteer, but sometimes you have to be the one to get the ball rolling.” Zahra’s words encourage young people to embrace leadership by stepping up and making things happen, rather than waiting for the right moment or relying on others to start.
