Location: Muslim Media Hub, 27 Pearl Street, Mississauga
 

Wage:  $20/hour

Position: Contract (full time, 35 hours per week for 8 weeks)

About the Role:
MMH is looking for a strong writer to help script video content, craft captions, prepare interview questions, and support our storytelling across platforms. This role is ideal for someone who loves writing and understands digital audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Write short scripts, hooks, and captions for MMH videos

• Assist with research and interview prep

• Develop intros/outros for shows and segments

• Create compelling social media copy

• Collaborate with editors and production staff

 

You Are:

• A clear, concise, creative writer

• Interested in storytelling, Islam, community, or media

• Able to work quickly and adapt tone to different formats

Eligibility Requirements (Canada Summer Jobs):

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment period

• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

• Have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
