About the Role

MMH is seeking a strong researcher and writer to support the development of a Playbook.

The assistant will conduct research and help turn consultation records and project findings into clear, useful public-facing material.

Responsibilities:

• Research counter-narrative strategies

• Prepare background materials and briefing notes

• Review consultation notes, transcripts, and findings

• Identify themes and recommendations

• Draft summaries and playbook sections

• Manage citations, sources, and fact-checking

 

Qualifications:

• Excellent research, analysis, and writing skills

• Qualitative research experience

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to make complex ideas accessible

• Knowledge of hate, discrimination, media representation, or counter-narrative work is an asset. 

• Familiarity with media, misinformation, policy, or community engagement is an asset

Position details:

• Fixed term through April 30, 2027

• Approximately 10 hours per week

• Primarily in person at MMH, with some remote writing

• $27 per hour
