Location: Muslim Media Hub, 27 Pearl Street, Mississauga
 

Wage:  $19/hour

Position: Contract (full time, 35 hours per week for 8 weeks)
 

About the Role

MMH is seeking an organized and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to help plan and execute screenings, workshops, community events, and open houses. You will play a key role in bringing MMH’s programs to life.

 

Responsibilities:

• Plan event logistics, schedules, and run-of-show documents

• Coordinate vendors, speakers, guests, and volunteers

• Manage registrations, communications, and attendee flow

• Oversee setup, décor, signage, technical needs, and teardown

• Assist with capturing event photos/video

• Prepare simple post-event reports

Eligibility Requirements (Canada Summer Jobs):

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment period

• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

• Have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
